How To - Opening a Money Belt Session

If configured, a money belt session can be opened by any member of staff on the PoS terminal.

Money belt sessions will always require a float.

Drawer Payments Only: Only allows payments to be made into the drawer – the drawer will open for all users.

Money Belt Payments Only: Only allows payments to be made by money belt user with an active session all other users will have the payment buttons shown with a padlock.

1. Log on to the terminal using the Dallas key or 4-digit PIN code.

2. Select the Other Functions button and press the Start Money Belt Session button.

3. From the Select Money Belt screen choose the required Money Belt Float which will be deployed to employee starting the session.

If a float has been provided by the venue to the employee, then a float will have been created in the back of house finance module.

If no floats are being provided and the server has their own float, then there will not be a requirement to select a float when opening a money belt session and this screen will not be displayed.

You are not able to have a mixture of float and non-float users in the same venue.

The first image below shows the terminal closed with PIN code authentication switched on and the second image shows the terminal open with the Aztec Logo (or you own brand logo) with no PIN code authentication.
